can y'all believe that it's thursday?! I know I sure can't! not that I'm complaining though ... quick weeks, mean the weekend comes faster! :) 

so I'm sure that most of you have been able to recognize from all of my fashion posts that I heart wedges. of all sorts y'all. I love to wear heels {even though I'm tall already} and wedges just seem so comfortable! 

now that being said, I'm no Jessica Simpson ... I don't wear them to the pool! :)

I'm sure y'all have seen bright colored denim everywhere this season ... I know I have and I'm lovin' it! 

Now up until recently I've been obsessed with red skinnies, but I think could wear some purple or blue ones too! :)

ok first y'all I need to apologize for being MIA this week ... blogger has been really frustrating me and I haven't had much patience. blogger seems to be cooperating now ... let's hope it keeps up!

OK y'all, first things first ... CHECK OUT MY ROCKIN' NEW BLOG DESIGN! Jessica over at Creative Index {and my new blogland bestie} created it for me and it ROCKS MY SOCKS OFF. We're still working out some kinks but I do hope you love it as much as I do!!!

Next question ...
Are y'all SO OVER my birthday?! I promise it's almost over! ALMOST. 

We're going to this farm-to-table restaurant on Saturday night with a bunch of friends to celebrate and I am most excited! I've heard AWESOME things about Chef & The Farmer but have yet to experience all of the yumminess of their menu myself! 

And don't y'all think that a new dress would just make the experience THAT much better?!! :)

thread cravings. - maxi skirts.

I know that I've mentioned it 10281208 a few times but I'm LOVING maxi skirts!

And I really didn't think this would be a trend that I'd get into. 

I wasn't sure this was a look I'd be able to pull off ... But y'all after my first try-on I was HOOKED. These long, flowing accoutrements are to die for ... So easy to wear with a tee, a tank, even a chambray button-down looks amazing!

Now I know that y'all have picked up on the fact that I heart rompers. 

100% obsessed. 

They just make it so easy to have a pulled together look whether you're hitting the beach or going out on the town.

thread cravings. - swim edition.

I have a confession y'all ... I am a TRUE beach bum. In my humble opinion, there is NOTHING better than sitting on the beach - toes in the sand, book in my hand, soaking up some rays. 

I could literally do it all day everyday. 

Now we are REALLY lucky to live close to the beach and even more lucky that we have friends and family who are MORE than willing to share their beach homes with us! 

Me and the Mr. {and of course the pup} are heading to the beach again this weekend and I couldn't be more excited! 

Also inspired me to create my latest thread craving board. 

Today it's ALL about swimsuits and coverups.

Personally I almost always wear a bikini with a bandeau top ... there is NOTHING that drives me more crazy than having tan lines from a halter. Now that being said, I do SOMETIMES wear a halter! And recently have really been lusting after some one pieces I've seen! 

As for coverups, I LOVE wearing a romper! {shocking, I know. I'm obsessed.} They're just so easy! 

So what's your bathing suit preference?!

I love pairing a dressier top {silk, beaded, printed} with a pair of SUPER casual denim shorts! And HOW can you go wrong with a maxi dress?! Definitely one of my go-to's for summer nights at the beach!
